Last time, Zero came face to face with his older brother Bass, who was obsessed to prove that he was the superior model. But his vanity got the best of him, and Zero emerged victorious. Angered by his defeat, Bass sulks and mopes over his humiliation. Sigma then sends out his new line of Mavericks to go after our heroes. Since they have been outfitted with more advanced technology and dark energy as their primary energy source, they proved too much for our heroes to handle.
