Chapter 21: Tower of Maya and Atenacius

[Back outside Belle was getting beat by Narcius]

Belle: Unbelievealbe! I'm being pushed around by this punk kid...

Narcius: Alright, baby! Time to fly! [He creates an explosion and send Belle flying too] BWAHA HA HA HA! That was pretty fun. She wasn't so bad. [Klaus comes up to him] Yeah? What do you want?

Klaus: You have all done enough.

[Prima Doll comes out]

Prima Doll: Klaus! Don't say anything!

Doll Master: So you finally decide to hand him over.

Klaus: No. I'll never give me up. Tell your Princess Maya that I said so.

[Doll Master lands]

Doll Master: You came out here to tell me that? You possess courage beyond your abilities, but you are a fool.

[Prima gets behind Klaus]

Narcius: I don't reason with fools! I just grease 'em!

Klaus: Say what you will. I'm not changing my mind.

Doll Master: I'm most curious. Why do you insist on protecting a doll? Prima Doll is a mere tool for recovering the |relic|. And you are willing to stake your life to protect him. Your actions make no sense.

Klaus: I'm sure it doesn't. You only see Prima Doll as some tool.

Doll Master: If he's not a toll then what is he?

Klaus: That's easy. He's my son. Prima Doll is part of my family. What parent in this world would give up his child?

[Doll Master turns away]

Doll Master: Your delusion is absurd. In my eyes, you are a foll protecting a mere tool. So be it. You wish to die for Prima Doll, I will grant you your wish.

Prima Doll: Klaus!

Klaus: Don't worry about me. Go back inside.

Prima Doll: No! I don't want you to die.

Voice: No one's going to die!

[Hikage appears]

Klaus: A werewolf?!

Narcius: So there are still werewolves around.

Hikage: You make me sick. You only see Prima Doll as just a tool for your selfish purpose when he is so much more than that.

Doll Master: Your just as much a fool as this man.

Hikage: "This man" sees the true value in Prima Doll while you are blind to see it. Then that makes you the fool.

Doll Master: Why are you sticking up for this human? I thought your kind hated mankind.

Hikage: I don't care what humanity sees me as. If they look at me and see a monster than that's their problem, as long as I know who I am, I will let others infulence my thoughts.

Prima Doll: Wow... Then in that case. I will not be used as a tool.

[Prima Doll goes up to Doll Master just as Lilia comes out]

Lilia: Prima, no!

[Doll Master looks and sees Lilia]

Doll Master: So you managed to fight off Psycho Master. I'm impressed.

[Lilia jumps down and lands on the floor]

Lilia: Doll Master! Let him go right now!

Doll Master: Prima Doll has surrendered himself of his own will, not mine.

Lilia: No!

Prima Doll: I'm sorry Lilia. But I have to go with them.

Lilia: Are you crazy?!

Prima Doll: If I don't, they'll kill everyone. I can't let them do that! Lilia, please come rescue me! Beat these guys and save me! I know you can do it. Please come, ok...?

Lilia: I will! I'll defeat and save you and my cousin!

Prima Doll: They have your cousin?

[Doll Master flies in front of her]

Doll: Hmph...Surely you jest.

Lilia: Doll Master. I'll never forgive you for this! I swear I will make you pay!

Doll Master: Well we best be leaving now.

Prima Doll: Not yet.

[Prima Doll surrounds himself with energy]

Doll Master: What?!

Hikage: Prima, no!

Prima Doll: Thank you, everyone.Lilia, I'm gonna wait for you! Please hurry!

[The masters leave with Prima Doll]

Lilia: Prima...

Klaus: I'm sorry Prima Doll... I couldn't protect you.

Rue's Voice: Doctor, Mint!

[Rue and Mint run up to them]

Mint: What happened?

Lilia: They took Prima.

Rue: No.

Mint: Damn... If only we had returned sooner...

Lilia: We're going to rescue him, no matter what.

Hikage: There's a large tower by the lkae. It was magically built by Princess Maya. That must be where Prima Doll has been taken.

Lilia: And Jeri...

Lilia: I'll head there first thing in the morning.

Mint: Then we better get some sleep if we're going to save them. And will you be helping us, mutt?

Hikage: How rude! I am a werewolf and I will not tolerate such an insult from anyone even from someone like you, Princess Mint.

Mint: So you know who I am, Who are you?

Lilia: His name is Hikage and he deserves to be treated with respect.

Rue: You two know each other?

Lilia: More or less. Now let's get some sleep.

[They all went to bed. When morning came Lilia headed to Maya's Tower when she entered she was greeted by Narcius]

Narcius: Hey! Wassup, fool! Baited like the dumb fish that you are.

Lilia: Trap Master!

[She tries to leave but Trap Master stops her]

Narcius: So where do you think you're goin'?! What, you think you can just walk outta here?! Dumb...Very, very dumb!

Lilia: Looks like I got no choice...

[She heads up the stairs]

Narcius: Alright, my job's done. I'm outta here. [She looks to him] Don't even thnk about escaping! I rigged this door with a little surprise. You got no choice but up.

[He leaves. Lilia contines to climb up the tower and fights her way through a bunch of monsters and got past all the traps and made her way to the top where Narcius was waiting]

Lilia: You again!

Narcius: Whassup, Lilia! About time you got here. Now that I trapped you here, I think I'll have a little fun with you.

Lilia: You keep saying that, but you always run away.

Narcius: Well this time, I'm not going anywhere! I'm gonna grease you up real good! And I ain't holding back!

Lilia: Bring it on!

[Narcius takes her to his battle room]

Narcius: Roast in hell!

[They start fighting. Lilia manages to avoid his traps and finally beats him. They return to the tower]

Lilia: Looks like, I win.

Narcius: The hell?! I'm Trap Master! I NEVER lose! Never! [He gets up] This is bull! Hell...I give up. I got no power left. Go ahead...Finish me. Come on what are you waiting for?! [He turns away but then looks back Lilia] And don't try to use magic, if you wanna finish me, you gotta come hit me!

Lilia: Nice try. I know it's a trap.

Narcius: So you saw through it. You're pretty sharp.

Lilia: No. You're too predictable and way too dependant on those traps.

Naricus: So that's it?! Your just gonna walk away and not finish me?!

Lilia: There's no point. I didn't fight you to finish you off. You got in my to save Jeri so I beat you. And I still have to find Prima, and killing you won't solve anything.

Naricus: You're gonna regret this. I'm gonna get you someday.

Lilia: Go ahead and try, but next you get in way I won't be so merciful.

[She heads through the doors]

Narcius: Man, this sucks. I can't believe I lost.

[Lilia heads in and sees that Jeri was waiting]

Lilia: Jeri!

[Lilia runs up to her]

Jeri: (cackles)

Lilia: Jeri, what's wrong? Why are you laughing?!

[Jeri turns to her]

Jeri: You're such a fool, Lilia. Why are trying to save Prima Doll? He's just a tool!

Lilia: Jeri! How can you say such a thing about him?! You don't even know him!

Jeri: Is that right? You're so pathetic.

Lilia: The Jeri I know wouldn't say such a thing, who the hell are you?!

Jeri: Why don't you fight me and find out?

[They start fighting. Jeri was able to block Lilia's attacks and then she fired energy waves at Lilia but Lilia managed to prevail and beat Jeri]

Lilia: Enough games! Who are you?!

[Suddenly Jeri's form vanished and it turned out to be Kirielle]

Kirielle: I'm sorry Ruecian...

Lilia: What the?! You changed your shape...

[Kirielle stood up]

Kirielle: That's right. I am Mode Master.

Lilia: Where's Jeri?!

Kirielle: She's fine. Doll Master had Karwyn send her back to the village.

Lilia: So this was a trap...

Kirielle: That's right and you walked right into it my dear.

[She vanishes]

Lilia: Damn it...

[Doll Master came up to her]

Doll Master: I've been waiting for you, Lilia.

[Suddenly Lilia was enveloped with power]

Lilia: DOLL MASTER!!!

Doll Master: Yes... I can sense it. I feel your anger piercing into my bones. But it's still not enough. There is much greater power resting in you!

Lilia: I don't care about it! I'm gonna take you down and save Prima!

Doll Master: I wil help you bring it out. DO YOU REMEMBER THIS?!

[Doll Master changed his arm and made it appear a giant monster like hand and smacked Lilia]


Lilia: That arm...!

Doll Master: That's right! I killed your uncle!

[Suddenly Lilia was overwhelmed with anger]

Lilia: You're dead!!! YOU HEAR ME?! DEAD!!!!

[Her headband goes flying off and her pony tail becomes undone]

Doll Master: Rage has awakened you, just like a year ago. [She charges at him but he blocks with his arm] I'll tell you right now. You can never defeat me. [He pushes Lilia back and then they start fighting she managed to get a few hits on him but he kept knocking her away and managed to overpower her. He grabs her by the throat with his normal arm and then hold her up] I told you. You can never defeat me.

Lilia: Damn you...

Doll Master: It's time for the final step.

Maya's Voice: Doll Master, what is going on?!

[Maya comes in and Doll Master looks at her]

Doll Master: Good of you to come, Your Highness. I was just about to call you from your chambers.

[Maya approached Doll Master]

Maya: What has just happened here?! Answer me at once!

[Doll Master drops Lilia and turns to Lilia]

Doll Master: Very well... You are no longer of any use to me. [Maya backs away] Psycho Master, get the Book!

[Psycho Master appears and knockes Maya down. The Book was being held up in midair as she stood up]

Maya: What do you think you're doing?!

[Doll Master steps over Lilia]

Doll Master: Now Lilia...Show me your true power. [He starts casting a spell on her] Gizmo = Gia = Gias! [She was then covered in light] To you born of dew, I command. Accept your destiny and release your powers! [Unconciously Lilia stands up as the book hovers above her and starts glowing] That's it! Tear the Book apart!

Maya: My goodness!!! The Book is being destroyed!

[Suddenly everyone was engulfed in a flash of light. Lilia wakes up and find herself in a dream-like outer space setting]

Lilia: What is this place...?

Maya: It's the Book of Cosmos. [He looks to Maya] The Book is a gateway to the cosmos. Right now, you and I are in space.

Lilia: Maya--[Lilia falls to her kness] AAGH!

Maya: My goodness. Doll Master showed you no mercy. Try to stay still.

[Maya heals Lilia]

Lilia: Thank you.

[Lilia stands up]

Maya: I must say I'm surprised. You're associated with my sister, yes? I figured you would be a hopeless rufian, just like her.

Lilia: Don't compare me to that nutcase of sister of yours.

Maya: I still can't believe it. The Book of Cosmos has been dismantled... The Book is an Aeon |relic|. [She looks back at Lilia] Doll Master is a powerful magician, but he couldn't have done this. It's impossible. The Book must have been dismantled by something else. Lilia, it was you. There's incredible power resting within you. That glowing gemstone on your forehead... It doesn't look like an ordinary stone I believe it holds tremendous powers.

Lilia: To be honest. I don't know anything about this gemstone. I had since the day I was born. I don't know anything about my past.

Maya: Come with me. We'll go see Atenacius.

Lilia: Atenacius? Wait, he's the one who created the Book of Cosmos?

Maya: That's right. I'm sure he'll be able to answer all your questions.

Lilia: But I thought all the Aeons were dead.

Maya: You're right. Atenacius died a few hundred years ago. But just before his death, Atenacius sealed his spirit in the Book of Cosmos. To this day, he still resides here, but only in spirit.

Lilia: Do you think he would know anything about me?

[Maya looks at him]

Maya: Atenacius is a powerful Aeon. There is nothing that he doesn't know. In any case, we must see him. Without his help, we won't be able to escape from this world.

Atenacius's Voice: I AM HerE.

[Suddenly a giant black with the face of a wizard on it descends in front of them]

Lilia: That is Atenacius...?

[Maya looks at Lilia]

Maya: Yes. As you can see, Atenacius has merged with the Book of Cosmos.

Atenacius: YouR HighnesS, WhaT HaS HappeneD? MY GreatesT CreatioN HaS BeeN DestroyeD IN ThE BlinK OF AN EyE. WhaT PoweR IN ThiS WorlD IS CapablE OF SucH A FeaT?

Maya: I'm not sure, but I believe the stone on this woman's forehead caused this. This chaos started when that glowing stone began to shine brilliantly.

Atenacius: WhaT!!!?

[The platform begins to shake]

Maya: Atenacius!?

Atenacius: YoU! ThaT StonE...! YeS! ThaT StonE HaS ThE PoweR TO DestroY MY BooK!

[Lilia approaches Atenacius]

Lilia: Please tell me! What is this stone!?

Atenacius: BaH! JusT LookinG AT ThaT WretcheD StonE DisgustS ME! OF CoursE! YoU ArE HiS ServanT! HE HaS SenT YoU HerE TO DestroY ME!"

Lilia: Servant...? I don't understand.

Atenacius: YoU CannoT FooL ME! TherE IS NO DoubT! YoU ArE ValeN's ServanT!

Lilia: What!? Valen's servant?

Atenacius: SilencE!!! YouR EviL IntentionS ArE ObviouS! YoU PlaN TO DestroY ME AnD ResurrecT ValeN TO AcquirE ThE DewprisM.

[Lilia looks at Maya]

Lilia: Dewprism...?

[They both look at Atenacius]

Atenacius: I WilL NoT AlloW IT! NeveR! ThaT |ReliC| WilL OnlY InvitE DisasteR! ValeN MusT NoT BE ResurrecteD! I MusT StoP YoU AT AlL CosT!

Maya: Atenacius, stop this at once!

Lilia: It's too late! I have no choice but to fight!

Atenacius: DiE!

[Lilia begins fighting Atenacius. He fires blue spheres at her but Lilia blocks them. Then finally she delivers the final blow to Atenacius and he falls]

Lilia: What's going on?!

[Atenacius returns but not on his block]

Atenacius: YouR PoweR IS UselesS! ThiS IS MY WorlD! I CannoT PerisH!

[He fires a blast at Lilia and she takes the hit]

Lilia: Aaaagh!

Atenacius: IgnoranT WretcH! YoU AmusE ME. HoW DarE YoU ChallengE MY SovereigN PoweR?

[Doll Master returns]

Doll Master: Sovereign power?! Hmmph, what a joke.

[Doll Master attacks Atenacius]

Atenacius: NoooO!

Doll Master: DIE!!! Now, your powers will be mine!

[He absorbs Atenacius as May and Lilia watch]

Lilia: Oh my god.

Doll Master: Just another overrated Aeon... How ridiculously weak!

Maya: Have you gone mad?! You fool! What have you done?!

[Doll Master turns to Maya]

Doll Master: Don't even bother, Your Highness. I have absorbed Atenacius's powers. Your magic is useless against me now.

Maya: That explains why you destroyed the Book.

Doll Master: Yes. It was the only way I could take his powers. With Lilia's help, of course...

Maya: But why?! What is the reason behind all this?! Tell me at once!

Doll Master: As you wish. The has has come to reveal who we are. You and I, Lilia, we were brought to this world for one reason alone. Our fate was determined long ago.

Lilia: What?!

Doll Master: There once was a great Aeon. His powers rivalled those of the gods. This Aeon made an incredible |relic|. That |relic| embodies all the forces in the universe. It is the purest form of crystal. Life, space, time, even logic and willpower are under the dominion of this |relic|. With the ability to control time and all of nature's creations, it is the ultimate power in this universe. That |relic| is called the Dewprism. Dewprism defines the heavens, the earth, time, and life... In essence, it is a microcosm of our universe. To inherit Dewprism is to inherit the universe. Valen created Dewprism; he hoped to become a god. But...the incalculable power of the |relic| brought about his downfall. The other Aeons were startled by Valen's creation and saw their peer as a major threat. Eventually, they became mad from fear and envy, and attacked him. The Aeons showed no mercy and destroyed Valen.

Maya: Valen was killed.

Doll Master: His body was destroyed... but not his spirit. Valen sealed himself in another dimension. And he has take the Dewprism with him. Valen bides his time in an impregnable dimension. All the while, his enemies age and die.
Despite all their powers, Aeons are not immortal. With every passing moment, enemies dwindle. [He turns to Lilia and Maya] And now they're all dead I have just destroyed Valen's last enemy, Atenacius.

Maya: Wait! Does that mean Valen is going to be resurrected?!

Doll Master: Not yet. Like I said, Valen has sealed himself inside an impregnable dimension. It can't be destroyed from the outside or inside. And Valen himself can't remove the seal to escape. At this point, Valen and his Dewprism, will be confined in the dimension forever.

Atenacius: ValeN MusT NoT BE ResurrecteD!

[Atenacius' face appears in the bookish platform everyone is standing on]

Lilia: Atenacius!?

Atenacius: ThaT FooL IS ImprisoneD InsidE HiS OwN CreatioN. OnlY ThE DollS OF ValeN CaN BreaK ThE SeaL.

Maya: What!?

Lilia: Dolls of Valen!?"

Atenacius: AlaS...! IF OnlY ThE DollS OF ValeN DiD NoT ExisT, HE CoulD NoT ReturN. CursE YoU BotH, CursE YoU BotH...!

[Doll Master stood on Atenacius's face]

Doll Master: What a pitiful sight. You should've died long ago with your peers, Atenacius. How does it feel to die knowing that your enemy is going to be resurrected? You're nothing compared to Valen. HAHAHAHAHAA!

[Atenacius disappears]

Lilia: (gasps)

Doll Master: Atenacius is dead. Nothing can stop Valen's resurrection now. The time has finally come for the Dolls of Valen to fulfill their duty.

Lilia: What!? What are you talking about!?

Doll Master: I'm sure you know by now. Before sealing himself in his dimension, Valen created many dolls with special powers and hid them all over the world. They were created for the sole purpose of one day breaking the seal and resurrecting him. Lilia...you are different you were born from one of Valen's creations. The gemstone on your forehead... It is a life stone, a fragment of the Dewprism. It holds powers beyond this world. It is what destroyed the Book of
Cosmos. Look! [They see Valen trapped in a blue prison] Valen remains locked in his dimension. You have the power to free him. You and your life stone. It is your duty.

Lilia: My duty...

Doll Master: Yes... Our duty... We exist for Valen. It is our duty to bring him back to this world. The time has come to resurrect our sovereign. With the Dewprism, Valen will be invincible. He will become a god and reign over the universe.

Rue: ......No. YOU'RE LYING! I don't care what you say! I'm not Valen's slave!

Doll Master: Of course... You have completely lost your memory, as I have lost my powers.

Rue: What are you talking about?

Doll Master: Perhaps this will convince you.

[Doll Master takes off his mask to reveal his face and show that he has a stone just like Lilia's]

Lilia: That stone... How...?

Doll Master: Now do you see? We're the same, Lilia. I am your father's brother. You see he woke up 20 years ago and was dedicatted to bringing back Valen but then he met your mother and abandoned his mission. When you were born, he gave you his gemstone so you could live.

Lilia: If that's the case, then why don't you just bring Valen back yourself?!

Doll Master: Because I am Valen's failed creation. Look at my stone. My life stone is dead. It has no power... I cannot fulfill our duty alone.

Lilia: And that's why you're after me.

Doll Master: Yes, that's why I came to your home and attacked the village 13 years ago.

[Lilia suddenly remembered when she was four that her home was attacked during the winter]

Young Lilia: Daddy!

Lilia's Mom: Hilbert, no!

Hilbert: Tokine! Take Lilia and get as far away from here as possible!

Doll Master: You can't stop me Hilbert! Either come with and bring the girl or everyone in this village will die!

Hilbert: Never! I will not let you take my daughter, Ruecian!

Ruecian: You are tratior to our master! Now move!

Young Lilia: DADDY!

[Lilia then fastforwarded to 12 years later]

Ruecian: Then on that night...

Lilia: You killed my father and uncle! You only wanted me! You killed them for no reason!

Ruecian: Both of those were accidents. I had no intention of killing your uncle or your father, despite him betraying Valen.

Lilia: You bastard!

Ruecian: Calm down. After we fulfill our duty, I will bring your parents and uncle back to life. Once Valen is resurrected, we can the power of the Dewprism to revive your family. [He turns to her] That will solve everything. Once they come back to life, you and I will no longer be enemies.

Lilia: It won't matter! I will never forgive you! You think by bringing them back, everything's gonna be fine?! You're just toying with peoples lives!

Ruecian: I told you, we're family I have no intention of fighting you. Lilia, I have waited for this for so long. Now, let us fulfill out duty, together.

Lilia: We are not family! I don't need you! I'm gonna take you down. That is my only duty.

Ruecian: So.. you have no intention of joining me?

Lilia: Never! You maybe my father's brother but you are nothing to me but a monster!

[Lilia tries to strike him down but he evades]

Ruecian: So be it... I will fulfill our duty on my own.

Lilia: What are you talking about?! You said you don't have the power!

Ruecian: I have absorbed Atenacius's powers. With his powers, I'll be able to revive Prima Doll. That doll can remove the seal at the lake ruins and open the path to Valen's fortress where he rests.

Lilia: What do you mean by revive Prima?!

Ruecian: It turns out after we captured him, Prima turned himself into stone, but it doesn't matter, I can undo his petrification. And besides I have another brother...

Lilia: Who?! Who is your brother?!

Ruecian: You've met Rue, right?

Lilia: Him?! You mean... he's one of Valen's dolls?!

Ruecian: That's right. I was the one who freed him five years ago, and Claire took him in. I went to go bring him with me but that woman got in my way.

Lilia: You mean Claire. You killed her too?!

Ruecian: That was also an accident. I had no intentions of killing her either. I never thought she was so fragile.

Lilia: You sick son of a...

Ruecian: Farewell, Lilia.

[Ruecian disappeared and then Lilia and Maya found themselves back in the main room. Lilia woke up]

Lilia: What happened to Doll Master? Damn it, he's gone.

[Maya got up]

Maya: He must be heading to the lake ruins. The only thing on that traitor's mind is Valen's |relic|...Dewprism. If Doll Master resurrects Valen...It'll be the end of the world.

[She looks at his mask]

Lilia: Can't you stop him with the Book of Cosmos?

[Maya looks at Lilia]

Maya: I'm afraid not... With Atenacius gone, the Book has lost its power. I'm completely helpless now...

Lilia: Doll Master that sneaky bastard!

Kirielle's Voice: What do you know of him?!

[Maya and Lilia looked and saw Kirielle]

Lilia: Mode Master?!

Kirielle: You have no idea what our Master has been through! If only you knew the cursed fate he has shouldered for years, you would never--

Narcius's Voice: Shut up, Kirielle!

Maya: Trap Master?!b Why are you here?

Narcius: I just came to get Kirielle and get the hell outta here. The Book is nothing compared to the Dewprism.

Maya: He's right. Valen was the most powerful Aeon, and he has left the Dewprism. The Book of Cosmos is no match for it.

Kirielle: Finally, my Master will have his wish. He will get the Dewprism and revive Valen!

Narcius: Alright, let's get outta here.

Lilia: So you're leaving to go see him?!

Kirielle: You're wrong. We cannot be with our Master anymore.

Narcius: Once the Master get the Dewprism, our job's finished. We're on our own after that. Let's go Kirielle.

[Narcius leaves and Kirielle looks at Lilia]

Kirielle: Lilia, you said earlier that were going to save Prima Doll.

Lilia: That's right! I will.

Kirielle: You won't find him here, he's at the ruins but you're too late. Once he breaks the seal he'll probably be teleported to Valen's fortress. You'll have to go there if you want to rescue him.

Lilia: Why are you telling me this?

Kirielle: I wonder why. Maybe because we're the same... We were both born to be tools.

[She leaves]

Maya: I guess they had their reasons.

Lilia: Yeah... [She looks to Maya] What are you gonna do now?

Maya: I can't accomplish anything by staying here. For now, I'll go to Carona and consider my options there.

Lilia: Not a good idea. Everybody in town probably still thinks you were responsible for the raid. But don't worry I know someone who can look after you.

Maya: Really? That's wonderful.

Lilia: Wait until you meet her, Mel is very nice.

Maya: Okay let's go.

[They leave the tower]
